• Back in June 2025 I contacted attorney Michael Shapley to assist me with a criminal case for my sibling. At the time I was very distraught and did not know what to do and my sibling who battled mental health issues was facing a non-violent felony.   January 11th I was visiting a friend who is with Hospice now anticipating his departure from this world. I am not much of a drinker but we both had more than we should have that night. On my way home I fell asleep and crashed my car into the ditch. The first responders arrived and cut me out of the totaled car. Thankfully I was not injured, but while being examined in the ambulance the highwaypatrol showed up and I was arrested for DUI. I spent the night in jail after failing the breathalyzer and was feeling pretty low and ashamed of myself. My wonderful wife was not mad at me and said I had just made a mistake and she called Jansen and Davis and got me an appointment right away. Mr. Jansen had me apply for the Hardship License and got me enrolled in DUI school and told me if I did everything right he would try and get my charges reduced.

   

  Since then I have not touched any alcohol and have been diligent in everything the State of Florida has required. I recently went to court with Mr Shapley and pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of reckless driving. I start my probation now and know that I was dead wrong to have driven under the influence of alcohol. I will be forever thankful that no one was hurt because of my actions. Jansen and Davis and especially Mr. Shapley who took over my case and responded to all my concerns and questions, were wonderful. They were able to keep me from having a DUI on my record even though the State had proof I had been drinking. My wife was right and very wise to call Jansen and Davis to help us and I will always be thankful to them.
